The body of Indian driver Maniappan Raman Kutty, killed by his abductors in Afghanistan, is likely to be brought to India Thursday.

The body is expected to be airlifted from Nimroze Province to Kabul Thursday morning after which it is likely to be brought back home by the Indian Airlines flight, sources said in New Delhi Wednesday.

The mortal remains will be taken to Kutty's native place in Allepey in Kerala [Images] for last rites.

Kutty, a 36-year-old driver with the Border Roads Organisation, was abducted by Taliban on Saturday. His body was found dumped by a roadside in Delaram Thursday.

After taking Kutty hostage, the Taliban demanded that BRO should cease its operation in Afghanistan failing which he would be killed within 48 hours.
