The Rashtriya Janata Dal leader and Railway Minister Lalu Prasad is unlikely to attend the swearing-in ceremony of the National Democratic Alliance government, led by Nitish Kumar at Gandhi Maidan in Patna on Thursday.

"Laluji is leaving for New Delhi later on Wednesday afternoon," RJD sources said.

The newly-elected legislators of the RJD are scheduled to meet at 5 Deshratna Marg, residence of Lalu Prasad, to elect former chief minister Rabri Devi as leader of the state legislature party. She would also then be Leader of Oppostion in the state assembly, party sources said.
