that we received with my son's body says there are pending further studies on both manner and cause of the death. I have also been told that police investigations are continuing.

It would, therefore, be premature to arrive at any conclusion at this stage," he said. "While we have an open mind, facts surrounding the tragic incident that give us strong reason to not rule out foul play. We hope that a full and thorough investigation will be carried out," he said in a statement.

Meanwhile, the mortal remains of Perwez, who was found dead in the US, were laid to rest in New Delhi in the presence of a large number of his friends and relatives. The body, which was flown here from the US, was laid to rest at the burial ground near Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah. Perwez, an engineering professor of the Columbia University and the lone son of Shahabuddin, was found dead in a hotel room in New York on Wednesday last.
