Kalam cancels trip to J&K

President A P J Abdul Kalam has put off his two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir in view of the death of the former President K R Narayanan.
S M Khan, press secretary to the President, confirmed that the visit had been put off and said that the new dates would be announced later.
The President was due to visit Tangdhar, the area worst-hit by the earthquake in North Kashmir on Thursday morning and visit the affected areas in Uri district on Friday.
