Delhi Diwali: 3 deaths and over 200 blazes

Three people were killed and several injured in different incidents of fire since Diwali evening till early Wednesday morning.

A couple and their son were burnt alive in the Punjabi Bagh area when their house caught fire around 04:30 AM, fire brigade officials said.

Over a dozen people were injured in Mongolpuri area whenfire in a house spread through the neighbourhood.They have been hospitalised.

The fire brigade said over 200 flares, set off by firecrackers, were reported in the capitalin the last 48 hours. Out of these, around 100 took place sinceTuesday evening.

Two fire brigade personnel were injuredon Tuesday night when a portion of a building on fire in the Anand Parbat area collapsed on them.
