A strong aftershock shook Jammu and Kashmir [Images] Tuesday, but no casualty or damage was reported.

The quake, measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale, was recorded at 1233 IST, the Met department said.

Its epicentre was near Muzaffarabad in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir, where the devastating quake of December 8 was also centred.

The region has been rocked by scores of earthquakes since the deadly temblor.
