A Mumbai police constable posted as bodyguard of Shiv Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray, has been arrested on charges of molesting a 20-year old woman.
A case has been registered against the policeman, Rukmanand Kashinath Shinde (29), under section 354 of IPC (outraging modesty of a woman), police told PTI on Tuesday.
The woman is a sister-in-law of the policeman and the incident occurred early on Tuesday, police said.
The incident comes in the wake of the recent rape of a teenager by a policeman at the Marine Drive police chowky.
