The three Hinduja brothers on Tuesday welcomed the Delhi high court judgment quashing all charges against them in the Bofors case, and said truth has prevailed.

"We are delighted that the truth has prevailed and our faith in the Indian judicial system has been vindicated", Hinduja brothers - Srichand, Gopichand and Prakashchand said in a statement.

"The judgment vindicates us and provides the judicial endorsement of what we have been saying all along: that we were not involved in any wrongdoing and there was never any evidence that we were.

"We have also maintained that were being falsely implicated for no fault of ours and for political and other extraneous reasons", the brothers said.

"It has been a long period of harassment and suffering in a personal sense and also business-wise and nothing can compensate for that", the statement said.

However, the Hindujas said, "We are delighted that truth has prevailed and our faith in the Indian judicial system has been vindicated".

They also thanked their friends and well-wishers who supported them through the difficult time.
