The Bharatiya Janata Party's two-day 'Chintan Baithak' began at Cherai near Kochi on Wednesday to discuss the party's strategy for the local bodies elections in Kerala [Images] in September and the assembly polls due next year.

The closed-door meeting is being attended by top BJP leaders, including party vice-president Venkaiah Naidu, general secretary Pramod Mahajan and other state committee members.

The meeting is likely to include discussions on various issues concerning the party's Kerala unit, BJP sources said.
