Rebel LJP leaders reject Paswan's leadership

Rebel Lok Janshakti Party leaders on Wednesday rejected the leadership of party president Ramvilas Paswan and said they would move the Supreme Court against the dissolution of the Bihar state assembly.

The rebels claimed they have 21 LJP MLAs on their side in the dissolved Bihar assembly.

After a meeting in Patna, expelled state unit chief of the party, Narendra Singh, said: "We have called a meeting of party workers and leaders in the capital in the first week of June to decide whether to float a new party or merge with the NDA."

He said they would also try to meet President A P J Abdul Kalam to apprise him of their point of view.

The meeting was attended by 14 MLAs of the dissolved House.
