The National Democratic Alliance will on Wednesday move the Election Commission, protesting against what it described as the United Progressive Alliance government's "attempts to interfere" in democratic process.

A delegation led by chief ministerial candidate Nitish Kumar would also demand early polls in the state during a meeting with the Election Commission, NDA sources said.

Janata Dal-United parliamentary party chairman Sharad Yadav, Bharatiya Janata Party vice president Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi and BJP general secretary Arun Jaitley would be the other members of the delegation, they said.

The opposition alliance has taken exception to Union Law Minister H R Bhardwaj's statement on Tuesday that the earliest the polls could be held in the state was in September.
