Lok Janshakti Party President Ram Vilas Paswan Monday blamed Rashtriya Janata Dal chief Lalu Prasad for the Bihar assembly's dissolution.

Paswan said the railway minister had rejected his proposals to form a secular government headed by a minority community member.

"He (Lalu) wanted it. The railway minister was feeling very uneasy out of power� He rejected my proposals to form a government, including a chief ministerial candidate from the RJD, belonging to the minority
community," Paswan told reporters in New Delhi.

He accused Lalu and the Bharatiya Janata Party, besides its allies, of 'breaking his party.

"They played a dirty game in getting the house dissolved after President's rule," Paswan said.
 
He alleged that the BJP and National Democratic Alliance had 'infiltrated' people into his party to contest assembly polls and they have deserted him.

"The day elections are held, the electorate will give a befitting reply to them (those who joined the LJP before the polls and later deserted the party)," he added.

He accused Lalu of rejecting his proposals to allow a Muslim and someone outside his family to be the state's chief minister. Paswan said Lalu was not prepared to make a sacrifice.
