Three persons were blinded on Wednesday over a minor land dispute and the police have not filed a first information report yet in a village in Bihar's Motihari district.

The three lost their sight in an acid attack in Barhapuri village under Banjaria police station in Motihari district.

"Even two days after the incident the police have not filed an FIR, not to talk about action against culprits," a source told rediff.com on Friday.

Sources said that when the three people were engaged in constructing a small hut on their land, some 'powerful' people, who warned them to stop construction immediately, opposed them.

But when they did not heed the intruders, they were severely beaten up and acid was poured acid in their eyes.

The victims were identified as Satayanarain Rai, Bhaganriya Rai and Rajendra Rai. They were admitted to a local government hospital.
