Sonia hosts dinner for UPA leaders May 19, 2005 00:34 IST United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi on Wednesday night hosted a dinner for leaders of UPA constituents and supporting parties at her residence on the eve of completion of one year in office by the ruling combine. Former prime minister V P Singh attended the dinner as a special invitee. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, several of his cabinet colleagues and Left party leaders Prakash Karat, A B Bardhan, D Biswas and Abani Roy attended the dinner. Railway Minister Lalu Prasad, Lok Janshakti Party leader Ramvilas Paswan, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam supremo M Karunanidhi and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha leader Sibu Soren also attended the dinner. Earlier in the day, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh hosted a lunch for UPA leaders.
