Shortly after Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] fully backed the Election Commission, Railway Minister Lalu Prasad Yadav on Tuesday stuck to his demand for the resignation of the two election commissioners whom he has accused of conspiring with the Bharatiya Janata Party to countermand polls in Chapra constituency.

"I am not making any allegation. I am supporting what L V Saptarishi has said. I am not against the commission," Lalu Yadav told reporters.

Asked about Dr Singh's remark fully backing the EC, the Rashtriya Janata Dal chief said, "I am not answerable for what the prime minister has said."
