Leader of Opposition and Bharatiya Janata Party president Lal Kishenchand Advani has deferred his proposed visit to Pakistan.

He will meet Pakistan President Pervez Musharraf [Images] when the general visits New Delhi to watch the Indo-Pak one-dayer on April 17.

Musharraf had invited Advani to visit Pakistan during the recess period of Parliament's budget session, BJP sources said.

The BJP's national executive and national council meetings on April five and six, respectively, to mark the silver jubilee of the party's establishment was another reason for the postponement of the visit, they said.

The BJP chief also wants to utilise the recess period from March 25 to April 18 to deal with the 'problems' in the party's Madhya Pradesh and Gujarat units, the sources added.
