Shekhawat discharged from hospital

Vice-President Bhairon Singh Shekhawat was discharged from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in New Delhi on Wednesday, official sources said.

He was admitted on Tuesday following a mild viral fever.

According to the VP's secretariat officials, the doctors have advised Shekhawat complete rest for a few days.

President A P J Abdul Kalam wished him a speedy recovery. Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images], Lok Sabha Speaker Somnath Chatterjee, former prime minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee, and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje visited him at the hospital.
