20 fast track courts to be set up in Delhi

March 09, 2005 22:14 IST

In view of high pendency of court cases, 20 fast track courts and four Lok Adalats will be set up in New Delhi, official sources said.

According to the sources, the decision was taken on Wednesday at Delhi Cabinet's meeting headed by Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit.

The Centre will fund Rs five crore to build the fast track courts.

The law department has been asked to identify land for the new courts, the officials added.
