President nod for central rule in Goa

President A P J Abdul Kalam on Friday approved imposition of central rule in Goa [Images], official sources said.

Kalam's approval came soon after the Union cabinet recommended imposition of President's Rule in Goa and keep the state assembly in suspended animation.

The process for issuing a notification by the Union Home Ministry for this has begun, the sources said.
