The moderate faction of Hurriyat Conference on Wednesday asked people to cancel the reception arranged for its seven-member delegation returning from Pakistan on Thursday.

"I appeal to people to desist from organising reception in view of the heavy loss of life and property witnessed in Pulwama bomb blast on Monday," a statement quoting Hurriyat chairman Mirwaiz Umer Farooq said.

However, the Mirwaiz asked people to reach Jamia Masjid on Friday, where the delegation would brief people of their visit of Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied-Kashmir.
