In yet another austerity measure, Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Babulal Gaur on Tuesday surrendered 11 telephone connections at his residence.

Gaur, who had recently cut down expenses on hospitality, number of vehicles in his cavalcade, security and lighting
arrangements, decided to do away with the connections as these were not in use, official sources said.

The phone connections were earlier installed for Internet and video conferencing, the sources added.
