RSS attacks Advani's credentials

July 09, 2005 14:34 IST

In an indirect attack on Bharatiya Janata Party president L K Advani on Saturday, the Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh said it had taken serious note of the "ideological erosion, misdemenour and violation of discipline" by functionaries of like-minded organisations.

Advani and the Jinnah controversy

The BJP declined to react to the comment. "We will not comment on what the RSS said," party spokesman Prakash Javdekar told PTI.

The RSS expresssed its strong view on the BJP leadership at a recent meeting of its provincial organisers in Surat, Sangh spokesman Ram Madhav said.

Without naming anyone, the statement said "the Sangh's elders will soon talk to the concerned people and convey the Sangh's reservations."
