Four ministers belonging to the Telengana Rashtra Samithi resigned on Monday from the Congress-led government in Andhra Pradesh.

The TRS is unhappy with the government's less than enthusiatic approach to the party's main demand -- the creation of a Telengana state.

The K Chandrasekhar Rao-led party is also unhappy with the breakdown of talks between the government and the Naxalites.

Six TRS ministers met Governor Sushilkumar Shinde on Monday afternoon to submit their resignations.

There is no immediate threat, though, to the stability of the AP government. The Congress has 185 members in the 294-member state assembly. The TRS has 26.
