Army microlite force lands

An army microlite aircraft, with two personnel on board force-landed near the DAV- Rotary campus ground in Bihar's Gaya.

The jawans escaped unhurt, Army sources said.

The microlite, which took off from the Army Service Corp (North) Centre this morning force-landed hardly 200 metres away.

The aircraft was on a routine practice mission with the army men, the sources said.

Major Gagandeep Singh was piloting the aircraft. Sepoy S K Saini was the other Army personnel on board, the sources said.

The small lightweight aircraft was taken back to the army centre, they added.The reasons for the force-landing were being looked into.
