Kumbakonam kids' parents contribute to tsunami relief January 18, 2005 15:16 IST Despite nursing their own personal grief, parents of the 90 children who lost their lives in last year's fire mishap at a school in Kumbakonam of Tamil Nadu, have made contributions to the tsunami relief fund. They met Public Works Department Minister O Panneer Selvam at Nagapattinam on Monday and handed over a cheque of Rs 1.03 lakh. The parents of the 18 children who were injured in the fire have also made contributions. Earlier, the parents met District Collector Dr J Radhakrishnan, who did a great deal for their welfare during his stint as the collector of Thanjavur.
