Chandigarh had a partially cloudy sky and the city received some light showers. The minimum temperature rose by two degrees to settle at 9.4C, the department said.

Hisar and Karnal in Haryana recorded low temperatures of two and four degrees above normal at 10.9C and 9.2C, respectively.

Ambala, however, had a cold night at 4.9C.

Both Ludhiana and Patiala recorded normal minimums at 6.3C and 8.5C, respectively.

The Met department has forecasted rain or snowfall at many places in Himachal Pradesh, while rain or thundershowers are likely over the next two days at many places in Haryana and at a few places in Punjab.
