Haryana Chief Minister and Indian National Lok Dal president Om Parkash Chautala on Friday filed his nomination papers from the Narwana constituency for the February 3 election to the 90-member state assembly.

Chautala is seeking re-election from Narwana and he is pitted against his old rival and state Congress president, Randeep Singh Surjewala. Chautala had defeated Surjewala by just 2,194 votes in the last election.

Surjewala had won the seat in the 1996 election and in 1991 the constituency was represented by his father, Shamsher
Singh Surjewala, who is contesting  from Kaithal this time.
