Villagers in Uran-Khopoli belt in Maharashtra's Raigad district on Tuesday night reportedly saw a huge ball of fire coming down from the sky accompanied by a boom.

There was panic in the area, but sources said it could just be the sonic boom of an Indian Air Force aircraft.

A Sukhoi is said to have flown back to Pune from Mumbai between 2030 IST and 2045 IST.
