Congress, JMM finalise seat-sharing in Jharkhand

The Congress and Jharkhand Mukti Morcha on Friday reached an electoral understanding for the February assembly polls in Jharkhand.

The JMM would contest 35 seats and the Congress 33. The remaining 13 seats in the 81-member house have gone to the Rashtriya Janata Dal and Left parties, JMM chief and Union Minister Sibu Soren told reporters in Delhi after meeting United Progressive Alliance chairperson Sonia Gandhi [Images].
