The Indian Union Muslim League on Saturday approved Industries Minister P K Kunhalikutty's offer to resign from the state cabinet.

Kunhalikutty, who has been accused of sexual harassment, had on December 28 given a letter to party chief Panakkad Syed Muhammadali Shihad Thangal requesting that he be allowed to quit the ministry of the Congress-led United Democratic Front government.

"V K Ibrahim Kunju will replace Kunhalikutty," IUML all India General Secretary E Ahmed told reporters after the party's state working committee meeting.
