Saddam's half-brother held in Iraq February 27, 2005 21:59 IST Ousted Iraqi president Saddam Hussein's half-brother was arrested on Sunday, official sources said. "Sabawi Ibrahim al-Hassan has been held in Iraq," official sources said. It is unclear whether the Iraqi or US forces arrested him. Ibrahim al-Hassan was number 36 on the US list of most wanted officials of the Saddam regime in Iraq. Hassan was Saddam's advisor and intelligence chief, a key post in the old regime. Two other half-brothers of Saddam, Barzan and Watban, are in the US army-run jail near Baghdad. Their trials will be held in the coming months.
