Gutka baron Jagdish Joshi has not exported gutka pouch-making machines to Pakistan, his brother Arun Joshi said on Friday.

He also refuted allegations about his brother's links with the underworld.

"We are in the gutka business and had sold machines to some persons in Mumbai, but we are not concerned about where these machines land," Arun Joshi told reporters outside the Central Bureau of Investigation office, where his brother was being questioned for his alleged links with the underworld.

"The machines were sold by us in a genuine business transaction and we have charged sales tax from the purchaser and also received payment through demand draft," he said.

Asked whether Jagdish Joshi will also appear before the Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act court, Arun said it would be decided after the CBI finishes questioning the gutka baron.

Strongly denying allegations about underworld links, Arun said they had full faith in CBI and whatever disclosures they had to make will be submitted before the investigating agency.
