A news television channel -- Total TV -- headquartered in New Delhi was launched on February 19.

Total TV, the first major neighbourhood television channel, will initially cover the National Capital Region -- Noida, Faridabad and Gurgaon.

It will cover Delhi, Haryana and the rest of north India soon.

Earlier, rediff.com had reported that Haryana Chief Minister Om Parkash Chautala was associated with the channel.

Total Telefilms Pvt Ltd, the company behind the news channel, says he is not.

Total TV has "no connection or association with any political party or political personality," a company manager told rediff.com, which regrets the inference in the earlier report.
