An Ahmedabad court on Wednesday sent the priest of the Junagadh Swaminarayan temple in Gujarat and three others to six days in police custody in connection with a sex scandal.

Metropolitan Magistrate D V Vaid remanded Swami Bhaktiswarup and his alleged accomplices -- Mansukh Bhagat, Bhanu Bhagat and Thakkarsinh Patel -- in police custody till February 22.

The Ahmedabad crime branch had on Tuesday seized a CD containing images of sadhus indulging in sexual acts.

Seeking the custody, the police told the court that they needed to find out who financed the whole operation.

The images were shot at different places, including Ahmedabad, Surat, Bharuch and Junagadh, and were complied into one CD, the police said.

The police had also recovered sleazy literature, condoms and contraceptive pills from the priest's residence.

All the accused have been booked under various sections of the Indian Penal Code, Information Technology Act and Immoral Trafficking Act.
