Patna police on Wednesday claimed that the deceased Vicky Thakur, the main suspect in the Kislay Kidnapping case, had close political links in Bihar.

Thakur was killed in a police encounter in Patna on Wednesday.

Senior Superintendent of Police N H Khan told rediff.com that Thakur's cell phone bills revealed that he was in constant touch with some politicians.

Khan added that the police would take action against the politicians whose numbers feature in the bill.

Thakur is a close associate of Chunnu Thakur, who allegedly masterminded the kidnapping and is now in Hajipur jail.

According to police sources, Thakur was planning to flee Patna after he realised that the police had information about his whereabouts.

The Delhi police has arrested three aides of Thankur on Monday.

Kislay, a Class VII student, was abducted while he was going to board his school bus in Patel Nagar on January 19.

Kislay returned home safely on February 2.
