The National Democratic Alliance on Tuesday accused the ruling United Progressive Alliance government of 'orchestrating' the dismissal of the Manohar Parrikar [Images] government in Goa [Images].

Bharatiya Janata Party general secretary Sushma Swaraj indicated that the NDA would stall proceedings in the Budget session in the Parliament on the issue.

The NDA staged a nationwide protest against the dismissal and demanded the recall of Goa Governor S C Jamir.
BJP president Lal Kishenchand Advani said, "The question is not about the dismissal of the Goa government, it's about the Congress' attitude towards democracy.

"This agitation is to save the power of democracy," he added.
