The Anti-Corruption Bureau on Friday arrested Shivajirao Talekar, the suspended executive director of Mahananda Dairy, for possessing assets disproportionate to his known sources of income.

Talekar was arrested from a private suburban hospital where he had been admitted on Thursday night following complaints of uneasiness.

He was brought to the ACB office on Friday evening for interrogation, sources said.

Talekar will be produced before court on Saturday.

On Thursday, the ACB had filed a First Information Report against Talekar under Section 13 of Prevention of Corruption Act.

An ACB team had raided Talekar's house on January 18 following allegations of corruption.

The Maharashtra State Milk Producers Federation, which sells dairy products under the brand name of Mahananda, had suspended Talekar following the corruption charges.
