Mild tremors rock Srinagar

An earthquake of moderate intensity rocked Srinagar and its adjoining areas Sunday afternoon forcing people to come out of their houses in panic.

With the devastation of the October 8 killer quake still fresh in their minds, people rushed out of their houses after a moderate intensity tremor rocked at 1335 hours.

A spokesman of the weather office said details about its epicentre and magnitude are being collected. There was no immediate report of any loss of life or damage to property, officials said.
