Laden's admirers face police wrath

December 22, 2005 15:44 IST

Police have interrogated two two students here for acclaiming terrorist mastermind and al Qaida chief Osama Bin Laden in an e-mail to inshaallah@sify.com, from which the Intelligence Bureau got a message regarding the bomb threat to Parliament.

Police said on being alerted by the Delhi Police, which kept strict surveillance on the website since the incident that created panic when the House was in session, a team of senior slueths Wednesday zeroed in on the cyber cafe from where the e-mail proclaiming 'Long Live Bin Laden' originated on December 19.

After ascertaining the senders' address, the team, comprising IB officials from Chennai, nabbed Pandikkad Government Higher Secondary School students Ayub Khan and Basith.

They were, however, let off in the evening with their parents after hours of quizzing as the teenagers admitted that they did it for fun.
