At the age of 112, she is said to have sprouted a fresh set of milk teeth and her children held the first rice feeding ceremony to celebrate her long life and good health.

Chamion Bewa, who lives with her son and daughter-in-law here in Nadia district, had been enjoying a normal diet all these years and able to walk and talk without problems.

Her family was surprised to find fresh teeth emerging from her worn out gums.

"Like a baby has its first milk teeth, she is having it all over again. So we decided to give her a first rice ceremony," Paribaksh Seikh, her son, said.

"Since we feel that a new cycle of life has begun, we want to celebrate it. By the wish of Allah she will live a few more years,'' he added.
