Monica Bedi's judicial remand extended till Jan 2

Central Bureau of Investigation Special Court Judge C V Subrahmanyam Monday extended the judicial remand of Monica Bedi [Images], girlfriend of gangster Abu Salem [Images] till January 2, 2006, in connection with the fake passport case in Kurnool.

Four others connected with the case, who were summoned by the court, also registered their presence.

When the case came up for hearing, the judge announced that the judicial remand was being extended till January 2, 2006.

Monica was brought from the Chanchalguda Central Jail under heavy security to the court.

Kurnool Passport Office Clerk P Srinivas, Assistant Sub-Inspector Abdul Sattar, RI Mohammed Yunus and suspended postman Gokari Saheb also appeared before the court. All the four are on bail.
