The Siwan court on Friday rejected the bail application of controversial Rashtriya Janata Dal member of Parliament Mohammed Shahabuddin in a case of recovery of foreign-made arms and Pakistan-marked ammunition from his Pratappur house during raids on April 24.

Additional District and Sessions Judge of Siwan, BN Mishra, turned down the bail prayer of Shahabuddin in the case under the Arms Act, lodged with Hussainganj police station.

Shahabuddin is currently lodged in the high-security Bhagalpur jail, after he was arrested by a team of Bihar police in New Delhi in November.
