A Vadodara court on Wednesday issued a fresh warrant against gangster Dawood Ibrahim [Images] after he failed to appear before the court in a 22-year-old Arms Act case.

This warrant will remain in force up to June 6, 2006.

Warrants have been issued again for seeking the Interpol's help in issuing a red corner notice against him, police said.

The earlier warrant issued against Dawood and his men had expired in 2003 and so a fresh warrant has been issued against them, police added.

The Sayajigunj police had recovered five American and Italian made revolvers and 85 cartridges from him and four others after their arrests on June 11 1983.

Dawood Ibrahim, along with his accomplices, was arrested after two of them were injured in an accidental fire while they were passing through Makarpura area of the city.

The gangster and his injured aides were treated in local SSG hospital then, police said.
