The victims were sleeping in front of their houses in Mohammedpur Madhayee village when the incident occurred. Two of the three injured have been rushed to the Agra [Images] Medical College hospital for treatment, they said.

Protesting against the hit-and-run incident, angry residents of the area staged a sit-in on the Shikohabad-Mainpuri road on Saturday morning.

Senior civil and police officials reached the site and got the road cleared, the officials added.
