Ticking off Bharatiya Janata Party, which has demanded Finance Minister P Chidambaram's resignation, Prime Minister Manmohan Singh [Images] on Saturday described the main opposition party as "a frustrated lot".

"BJP is a frustrated lot," he shot back when reporters told him that he would be "missing the big day" on Monday in Parliament when BJP has expressed its intention to demand Chidambaram's resignation in the wake of a controversy over the income tax department engaging his wife Nalini as a counsel in a tax case.

The prime minister, who is leaving for Afghanistan on Sunday on a two-day visit, was speaking to reporters at his residence after the release of a book.
