Gujarat's Minister for Youth and Cultural Affairs Bhavku Unghad on Monday sought permission from party president Vaju Vala to resign from the Narendra Modi [Images] ministry.

Unghad, a legislator from Amreli district, who was admitted to a hospital following a heart attack on August 18 after reportedly being pulled up by Chief Minister Modi for going to Keshubhai Patel's house, came to the party office in an ambulance to hand over the letter.

However, as Vala was not present, the letter was handed over to his secretary.

From the ambulance, Unghad told awaiting media persons, "I am unhappy with the behaviour of the cabinet towards me after I visited Keshubhai's house."
