Seen her lead the party, see her lead the children
August 20, 2005

The 61st birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi, who was assassinated in Tamil Nadu's Sri Perumbadur village in May 1991 by activists of the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam, was marked by a memorial service in New Delhi.

The event gave journalists and photographers a glimpse of what they had not been able to see often.

Sonia, who paid tributes to her husband on Saturday, was accompanied by her daughter Priyanka, son-in-law Robert Vadhra and her grandchildren on the occasion.

The Congress supremo was seen explaining procedures to the tiny tots, much to the delight of photographers who kept their cameras busy.
