Two managers of Allianz Bajaj, Patna, who were kidnapped on August 12, were on Friday released by their unidentified captors.

Police officials said the kidnappers released Rakesh Shanker and Prem Prakash at the Chiraiyatand overbridge in Patna early Friday morning.

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police N H Khan said both returned to their houses safely. He said the kidnappers freed them 'under heavy police pressure'. Three persons were arrested in connection with the kidnapping. Three others were taken into custody for interrogation.

Khan said it was a case of abduction for ransom but that it was not yet known if any ransom was paid.
