The wife, son and daughter of well known Hindi actor and politician Govinda sustained injuries after the Qualis they were travelling in met with an accident on Monday morning.

The actor's friend, who was travelling with them, succumbed to injuries in a hospital, television reports said.

Speaking to rediff.com, Govinda's elder brother Kirti Kumar said that the family was safe. He said that the family had gone to Ajmer and were returning when the accident occurred.

"Govinda is not in a state to talk," Kirti said and added that " we are rushing to Jaipur."

The injured had been admitted to the Savai Mansingh Hospital.
