An arrest warrant has been issued against cricketer-turned-Bharatiya Janata Party leader Kirti Azad in Madhubani district in Bihar.
Official sources said on Saturday a warrant of arrest had been issued against Azad, a former BJP member of Parliament from Darbhanga, in a case related to violation of model code of conduct during the last Lok Sabha elections.
Police officials said Azad's publicity vehicle was seized and a case was lodged aganst him on April 23, 2004, in Pandul police station.
